Charlie |
Backstory:
Turned out of yet another human home, Charlie was walking the streets of Chicago, growling at anything that passed by him, hoping for a fight. A bit crabby by nature, he was in no mood to be talked to when suddenly a little rabbit popped out near him. He growled at her, too, but to his surprise the rabbit just hopped along beside him, chatting away incessantly. Charlie didn't even realize that he was eventually following the rabbit out of the city and towards the planes nearby until he smelled other creatures nearby. He crouched down low to the ground, growling and ready to fight.
Idris, Thames, and Astrid had been traveling around in the summer, getting lost and ending up in the cities of Illinois instead of the forests of Idaho like they had planned. Astrid, the least conspicuous of the lot, had gone in to see if she could find a park for them to sleep in for the night when she encountered Charlie and led him out to her friends, who could help to better explain the situation. Needless to say, Idris and Thames were more than a bit shocked when she’d turned up with a growling little ball of tough attitude.
Having never had luck with friends or families before, Charlie growled again, crouching and still ready for a fight. But Idris eventually calmed him down enough to get him to talk with them. They learned about how he was down and out on his luck and the three shared a knowing glance, much to Charlie’s annoyance. They invited him to travel with them in the morning to a place where he’d never be unwanted again. Charlie snorted in disbelief and rolled his eyes. But he was not without kindness, and showed them the way to a park where he often stayed when he was homeless. In the morning, he woke to find the others gone. He felt surprisingly sad by this fact, but then realized they’d only gone far enough to bring food for themselves and, to his surprise, for him! Deciding to give this family and friend thing one more chance, he decided to go with him.
Though he still loves to fight (and secretly is afraid he will be once again turned away from his "family"), Charlie is fiercely loyal to his pack and is glad to finally have friends. He spends his time in the mountains of Ephera, but often stays with his friends because he truly hates being alone.
